The weekend’s back and we got a special shortlist to celebrate it! This week’s shorts are all video game and superhero fan films, from the Punisher to Hitman.

Starting the weekend off with this cool wonder. Dirty Laundry is a dark reprise of the famous comic book Punisher. The film stars Thomas Jane, who took his role back as Frank Castle from the 2004 Punisher film by Jonathan Hensleigh, and Ron Perlman, the movie face for comic book Hell Boy, but most recently known for his role in the hit TV series Sons of Anarchy. Besides the Hollywood headlines, this still remains a fan-film, a darn good one.
Hitman Absolution: Chimera
This is a fan-film of the popular video game series Hitman. In this version Agent 47 relives an episode from his untold past.
Cognition
Cognition completely redefines the term fan-film. Based on the ever-so-famous multimillionaire Bruce Wayne, or more commonly known to us as Batman, the 44 minute short film surprisingly actually has nothing to do with Batman, but is rather a character study of Bruce Wayne. Cognition is a rich Neo/noir character study based on one mans life and how he effects everyone around him.
Mark Of The Ninja: Tetsuji’s Shadow Trailer
Let’s finish off the weekend with this fan-made trailer based on the video game Mark Of The Ninja by Klei Entertainment. The creators of this trailer are looking for support to get this film done and will soon be launching an Indiegogo Campaign.
