Die Flucht follows the story of a lonely figurine, traveling on a fixed track, trying to catch a red balloon. When the machine breaks down, the boy comes to life, and attempts to finish the cycle he was originally destined to be on forever.

Director’s Statement

Die Flucht follows my time as a child, always chasing some big dream, and always falling a little too short. Each time, I was left with just enough hope to build a new kind of belief in myself, and keep pushing through. Knowing one thing the entire time; The dream never stops growing, so neither can I.
