The Jameson First Shot is looking for 3 new directors to shoot with Maggie Gyllenhaal for their 2016 edition, a once in a lifetime opportunity

The Jameson First Shot is the brain child of Kevin Spacey & Trigger Street Productions (House of Cards, The Social Network) to create a platform for emerging filmmaking talent to get their writing/directing skills noticed.

With a little help from Kevin Spacey and Dana Brunetti, three writers/directors will be selected to have their scripts made into short films by the award-winning Trigger Street Productions. The Hollywood treatment doesn’t end there, as you will also have the life-changing opportunity to direct an Oscar-winning star.

This year presents you the upportunity to direct a film with no other than Oscar-Nominated actress Maggie Gyllenhaal. Watch Maggie’s presentation to the challenge.

In the past we’ve featured the short ‘Saving Norman‘ from Hanneke Schutte who told us about her experience in getting her film produced by Kevin Spacey with Willem Dafoe as the main actor.

The 2015 edition starred Adrian Brody, and Uma Thurman shined in 2014.

Applicants must be at least 25 years old and living in South Africa, Russia, the US, UK, Ireland, India, Australia, Canada, Bulgaria and Kenya. Submissions should be no more than 7 A4 pages and your story should be around the great and/or unexpected things that can happen when you fear less and invite life in.
