In a clearing amongst a forest of pines lives a lonely old man who struggles to keep himself warm, though help comes from an unexpected friend.

Stop motion animated films are always fascinating pieces of work, especially when they are incredibly well crafted like Claire Campbell‘s ‘Winter’s Blight’. Without a line of dialogue we are completely enthralled by the created miniature world, even despite the desaturates tones, the textures fully take over a language of their own.

The delicate and slow paced story is unexpectedly warming, but everything is wonderfully woven together with the splendid soundtrack by Hanan Townshend. Make sure to watch the short Behind The Scenes footage of ‘Winter’s Blight’ to really take in the full extent of the detailed production.
