Chen is a painter who lives in a small village in Hangzhou, China. He makes a small amount of money living off his art and he lives a simple life. One day, Mister Lin, a shady boss from Shanghai contacts him for an interview in his company. The movie explores the confrontation between a Chinese artist’s dreams and the corporate reality of huge Chinese megalopolises.
