A discussion of the memories between a grand father and his grand daughter.

Les éphémères is a smooth and calming film created by Nils Caneele in 3 days for the Montreal Kabaret Kino 2013. Rather than creating a regular linear movie, Nils decide to step out the routine and create an emotion, a memory.

This movie is not a story, it’s a sensation an emotion only. You can watch it like you listen a song.

The experience is unique and charming, giving a sensation of watching memories, even your own memories to a certain degree. The film uses simple cinematography that is choreographed marvelously to give the film its wondering pace, but its simpleness is the film’s beauty. With no visual effects or even a soundtrack, Nils manages to acquire our attention with conversation, image and memories.
