Drawing from the ethereal and darkly poetic tone of L.M.Montgomery’s story, I sought to create a cinematic experience that challenges perceptions and invites introspection.
Throughout the narrative, there exists a deliberate dissonance between the story as told by the narrator—a cautionary tale of pride and downfall—and the visual representation of the Princess’s perspective. While the world perceives her as haughty and self-absorbed, we glimpse beneath the surface to uncover her longing for freedom and authenticity.
