Our microfilm is based on a short story my mother wrote in her first book. She’s 79 years old and a true inspiration in my work. The story was inspired by the devastating European floods in 2021, which are a reminder of how fragile we are and of the urgency to act on climate change.
Director’s Vision for ‘The Soul of Nature’
My microfilm ’The Soul Of Nature’ is based on a poen my mother wrote in her first book. She’s 79 years old and a true inspiration to me and my work. The story reflects on the devastating European floods in 2021, which are a reminder of how fragile we are and of the urgency to act on climate crisis. I wanted to create a captivating organic film, that makes people stop and think.
At the same time, this project became an experiment in balancing real-world production with AI innovation. Imagine what happens when AI models are no longer trained on real content, like a cow drinking its own milk. Sets are still where the magic happens, and AI should remain a tool to help us work smarter.
The real power comes from combining the real with the artificial and from teams of specialists shaping ideas together. Like every filmmaker today, we faced the same limits, time and budget. Instead of fighting them, we approached them differently. AI supported us in that, but it didn’t make the film. The people did.
