Sorority prospects Pash and Claudette await their fate in the attic of the house they desperately hope to be a part of this upcoming year of university.

Pash feels as if her life depends on the outcome of this rush but Claudette is just looking forward to getting closer to Pash, whether that’s as her sorority sister or not. The hazing is over but the true test of sisterhood has just begun.

Director’s Vision for ‘Sisterhood’

While I was writing Sisterhood it was really important for me to be able to challenge stereotypes that exist within the horror genre. I find myself tired of content that features graphic, often sexual violence against women, even when it’s unessential to a plot. Further into the project I also wanted to challenge my own stereotypes about the culture of sororities. I had readily judged peers for rushing in the past while at the same time I would annually attend an all girls summer camp. Realizing my own hypocrisy made me want to explore the kind depth of characters that might exist inside of an all female hierarchy like a sorority. The goal became exploring traumatic concepts and experiences with feminine characters without fetishizing violence against women at the same time.
