Severus and Stone is a short film adaptation of the story told in alt-folk artist Radical Face’s song of the same title. Created by 16 year old director / cinematographer / editor Alden Blake, the film tells the poignant tale of love, loss, and of two brothers who discover that they share a bond that outlasts life itself. Severus and Stone is unique in its use of a non-linear narrative, and artistic portrayal of the lyrics with strong attention to the narrative created by the artist. The aesthetics, pace, and editing of this carefully crafted film bring an emotional impact greater than the restraint expressed in the song itself.
