A young man walks home alone at night in this short film about the anxieties of being black in modern-day America.

Director’s Vision

Prowler is a film not only about the emotional weight and trauma that black Americans must carry on a daily basis, but also a film meant to challenge us to question our own perceptions and judgments. To acknowledge the lived experiences of others as real and important. To understand and share in their feelings. To fight for their justice and above all else, it is a film meant to allow us to witness a moment in the life of a human being. Because sometimes we forget that behind the politics, and the numbers, and the anger, are human beings. Human beings whose lives up until now have not mattered and must begin to.
