Letting go is never easy.

Two exes agree to meet up and exchange belongings, only for old passions and argument to resurface, all hinging around one last item neither are happy to let go.

Director’s Statement

We made ‘Parting Gifts’ because myself and the producer/actress wanted to collaborate with one another having previously worked on a music video which I directed.

We met a lot and discussed many potential projects. We didn’t have a huge budget but I thought it would be a nice challenge to make an interesting story with two characters in one location.

I had made a few films without dialogue and I wanted to test myself once again as a writer and try and capture a performance as natural as possible.

We rehearsed it and shot it in a day with a very small but talented crew.
