Director’s Vision for ‘On Purple’

I’ve found that I often explore indirect communication and the dysfunction of relationships in my films. When I sat down to write, “On Purple,” I was interested in a story that focuses on poetry writing as a way to expose the inner dynamics of a married couple’s relationship. These characters use their poetry writing to weaponize their words while they search for each other’s validation.
