A recent college graduate must confront his fear of adulthood, his childhood nostalgia, and the supernatural entities which pursue him through the halls of his old elementary school.

Director’s Vision for ‘My Child’

The creation of this film was my attempt to convey feelings of anxiety and nostalgia, shared by many young people as they become adults and leave home for the real world. I wanted to tell this personal yet universal story in an experiential way, utilizing purely visuals and sound to immerse audiences into the graduate’s fearful state of mind during this transitory time in his life. The beings he encounters in his old elementary school represent his own fears of the future: adulthood, the destruction of your dreams, and the loss of innocence.
