Following my grandmother’s passing, I visited my grandparents’ family farm in rural New Hampshire for one last time. The film is presented from a first-person perspective, using photographs and home videos spanning 60 years. It explores themes of reflecting on the passage of time and navigating through loss, focusing on the emotional weight of returning to a special place once your loved ones are gone.
Director’s Vision for ‘Memories We Hold’
I created Memories We Hold as a way to find closure with my grandparents’ passing and my family’s farm being sold. While this film is a deeply personal story, I feel others will connect with the themes of looking back on past memories, witnessing people grow old and change, and the experience of the emotional weight of returning to a place once your loved ones are no longer present.
