Lionfish is an experimental romance short film that follows Ida, the lingering memory of an ex-girlfriend, trapped within the surreal subconscious of Alexander. As Ida struggles to make sense of her surroundings, Alexander faces his own struggle—to finally let her go.

Director’s Vision for ‘Lionfish’

Every night we close our eyes and enter the world of dreams. Our dreams may be fantastical and wondrous while others are frightening and bring up buried memories we thought we forgot. We share the commonality that we are powerless against our subconscious’s creation. The goal of this film is to show how the mind comes to accept the truth of a relationship that has fallen apart.
