Director’s Vision for ‘Killers’

Killers is a film about facing your past and digging into core wounds to tear out the root. When the idea came to me, I wanted to explore the masculine relationship to the feminine when faced with childhood trauma around sexuality. I chose an energetic and surreal sonic and visual palette to create emotional distance between the harsh subject matter and the viewer. I didn’t want the film to be about the abuse itself, but rather the facing of the shadow, the return to slay the final demon in hopes of gaining emotional freedom; but as the saying goes– “if you seek revenge you should dig two graves”.
