Freddy, a young father desperate to win back custody of his daughter, goes to see his best friend and barber – Noah, for a fresh haircut – before heading to court. Even though Freddy tries to mask it, Noah knows his boy more than anyone else and understands his fears. With tough love and a fresh fade, Noah helps Freddy find the confidence he needs on the most important day of his life—a priceless exchange.
Director’s Vision for ‘Jade’
This film comes from a few things I know deeply: being a father, the confidence and self-worth that can come from a great haircut, and the essential role of friendship. Jade is about how these elements intersect — and how something as simple as time in a barber’s chair can become an act of care, support, and belief when someone needs it most.
