Director’s Vision for ‘ID EST’

I am so happy to have been a part of “ID EST,” a captivating sci-fi action short film that resonated deeply with me. At its core, this is a story about survival, and intertwines the fate of both hero and villain. Amidst the action, “ID EST” explores the human need for connection, and weaves together themes that reflect the essence of the human experience.

Directing “ID EST” was both thrilling and sometimes humbling. My central goal was to craft a visually striking and emotionally resonant experience that would really stay with an audience, all in less than 10 short minutes.

Another of my goals with this project was to achieve gender parity in front of and behind the camera, particularly relevant in this genre where often sci-fi and action spaces lack female perspectives. I feel that the realization of this goal enhances both the authenticity and richness of “ID EST”.

This film embodies the spirit of passion and perseverance that drives both its characters and its creators. I hope that its exploration of survival, connection, and the resilience of the human spirit resonates with those who see it.
