Director Vision

Hunnybuns is truly a collaboration between myself and Dekunle, the creator of the song Hunnybuns. He approached me with the song, from his album Mother, looking to make a music video. As I developed this weird religious ceremony storyline we started to shift the vision from music video to a musical short film, leaning harder into this narrative angle. I’m really happy with how this project came out. It feels great to make something that is just generally fresh and strange, departing from the traditional genre’s that we hold to what we create as directors. Also I’m excited for the exposure that I hope this brings to Dekunle and his music. It falls right in line with this video: fresh and strange.
