An intimate glimpse into a Sunday shared by a young couple in Mexico City. Navigating the fragile, accelerated closeness of modern romance, Lulu reflects on the reckless passion of her new relationship. As the day unfolds, she inhabits a rollercoaster of vulnerability, contrasting the bright hope of the morning with the melancholic anxiety of the fading afternoon light.
Director’s Vision for ‘Sunday’
This film comes from an obsession with how vulnerable Sundays feel, when time slows down and forces us to look inside. In modern relationships, intimacy often moves too fast. We open our private worlds before the foundation is steady. I wanted to capture that delicate moment where strong passion meets the fear of showing too much. Through Lulu’s eyes, the movie looks at the emotional ups and downs of a single day, showing how hard it is to navigate love in a fast-paced world. It traces a shift in energy: watching the early morning’s gentle promise bleed into the quiet, haunting shadow of the day’s end.
