Director’s Vision for ‘Doggy Style’
Based on real events, the film’s post-apocalyptic veil evokes constant anxiety, amplifying the sorrow and loss that permeate its world. The screenplay, developed over two years, reached its final form through the collaboration of Ruslan Dzhanmamedov, Ali Ibragimov, and Xenia Weisburd. This story speaks to those who cling to others by force, imposing their will and refusing to let go. Through abstraction and a return to humanity’s primal nature, deeper emotions and imagery are explored. This is neither a manifesto nor a parable, but an illustration that forces a confrontation with whether one is predator or prey, and the search for escape.
