Caretaker tells the story of a three generations through one lens. Set in an hauntingly quiet setting, on the edge of a coastal town. A daughter wrestles with the very real threat of her mothers worsening mental state which starts to wrap around her own mind and sends cracks into her reality both literally and figuratively. The past, present and future collide at once in a story that will both haunt you, move you and stay with you.

Director’s Vision for ‘Caretaker’

‘Caretaker is an extremely personal film to me, it echoes pains of both the past and the future at the same time. I wanted to capture dementia in a way it had never been shown before, I wanted to delve into the psyche of both the one who suffers and those who share that suffering around them. The film turned out to become something much darker and more existential than what I had originally had intended and it worked so much better for it. We shot the film in three days and it took over a year to complete in post-production and I think that attention to detail shows in every frame, I am so proud of this film and look forward to where it might go in the future.
