Director’s Statement

This short film is a passion project we did in NY last autumn together with the dop Emmanuella Zachariou. We recognized each others work online and decided to work together. We agreed on a short story that can be shot in fixed locations and would allow us to develop a certain mood we wanted to achieve. We used high ISO to be able to shoot in low key environments and played with colorful spills. We wanted the image to have a ‘’wet’’ feel to highlight lonely environments of both characters. Making a project on your own is wild but its wort it. You as a director or dop should ensure yourself a circumstances when there is no creative control and you are free to experiment. During these wild endeavors you are able to discover new qualities in yourself.
