After his father’s death, Ángel seeks reconciliation and the chance to learn more about his family through the help of his Grandfather and a Day of the Dead festival.

Director’s Vision

Ángelito began with me attempting to deal with my father’s death. I had an overwhelming amount of conflicting feelings and this film became the release of it all. This is my attempt to learn how to grieve and how his memory will live on. Exploring my own personal story has been a struggle and at the same time a fun challenge as I continue to push myself as a director/writer. This situation has left me more open and vulnerable but hopefully, this process allows more people to connect to the story. I am so excited to share this film.
