An artist in the midst of a suicide attempt is visited by the daughter he didn’t know he had.

James is a talented painter that has just completed his swan song piece and nailed it to his apartment wall. He had just begun committing suicide in the art gallery prison of his own making, when Chloe knocks; She is the daughter James didn’t know he had. Her mother, James’s ex-girlfriend Erica, is dying of cancer and had planned on giving Chloe up to Family services when she passes away. Having just discovered this, Chloe ran away from home to find James in hopes of convincing him to take her in. Now James not only has to deal with the fact that he’s dying a slow death via antidepressant overdose, but he has to decide what to do with Chloe in his care.
