Cyber terrorism has caused government agencies and large corporate companies to start using advanced robotic data couriers known as Syncs.
Haz does it again, after indulging us with a documentary-style science fiction film of the highest level with ‘Project Kronos‘, Hasraf Dulull spoils us with another sci-fi masterpiece: ‘Sync’. Entirely self-funded, Haz wrote, directed and produced the film and also got his hands on most of the VFX, with some support from Escape Studios. The film was shot entirely on the black-magic cameras (pocket and cinema cams), in 4 days across several locations in the UK with a small crew and team.
Sync is set in the not too distant future where cyber terrorism has caused government agencies and large corporate companies to start using advanced robotic data couriers known as Syncs. But one one of the Syncs is carrying a deadly cyber weapon, the FBI race against time to stop it from reaching its destination.
The short was written as a proof of concept for a project I was pitching to several studios and I can announce that The feature film version is currently in development.
Always setting up the highest production standards, this short has it all between the ambitious storyline, great visual effects and lots of actions. Leaving us with a huge appetite wanting more… especially after an ending like that! Luckily for us, Haz is already working on the feature film. Can’t wait!
Here’s a look behind the scenes of Sync.
