Chillr

The only non-sex-based mobile app that instantly connects chill dudes with other chill dudes in their area.

The first thing that went through our minds, and I am sure yours as well was: “How didn’t I think of this??”. And the we realized how fun this film/idea was. CHILLR is a two-and-a-half minute comedy released via an internet prank on CHILLR.NET – a website for “the only non-sex-based mobile app that instantly connects chill dudes with other chill dudes in their area.”

By timing our release to coincide with Tech Crunch Disrupt and the Apple product announcement, we presented the short as an ad for an app that doesn’t exist. And somehow it worked, going viral in the first few days, fooling tons of tech pundits, and getting us a lot of great coverage.

Despite the fun idea, this little short would have not been so impactful if it weren’t for the intense performance by the two chillrs played by Noah Levenson and Edward McGinty. Of course helped by a splendid and hilarious script – written by Noah himself, both dudes really bought into the joke and just had fun with it, giving the film it’s dynamite humour success.
